Orlando

I hate what happened in Orlando, Florida. My heart goes out to the friends and families of the victims. I'm sorry this has happened.

I blame both sides of the Middle Eastern conflict for this - both Christians and Muslims. One of the worst things that ever happened to the US is that any religion ever thought of this secular nation as theirs and dragged us into their ongoing faith-based conflicts. I'd rather restrict religion than restrict guns. I strongly support the Second Amendment.

I'm sharing a meme being passed around in Native American groups on Facebook to illustrate my point but the list is far from incomplete (to see a longer -but also incomplete- list, click here). Our government was never supposed to be more armed than the average citizen because this is what governments do when that happens. So if a gun is too dangerous for me and you to use, then maybe militaries ought not be using them either.
Wounded Knee - 150 shot and killed 50 wounded....
Sand Creek - 163 shot and killed....
Tonkawa Massacre - 240 shot and killed....
Bear River - 280 shot and killed....
Washita, Milk River, Grande Ronde......the list goes on. Worst Mass Shooting in US history was NOT today America.
