BookRiot's 10 Scariest Books You've Read

Have y'all heard about BookRiot? It's a place for us book-folk to talk about our favorite topic. They recently posted an article by Rebecca Joines Schinsky called The 10 Scariest Books You've Read.

Rebecca mentions that she wishes more women were on the list (so do I). Most of y'all book-folk probably know about the HWA but, just in case someone doesn't, check out The Horror Writers Association if you're looking for horror-stories written by female authors.

I responded to the survey that BookRiot sent out before this article was posted and the article links to the full data set of suggestions they received (thought it might make a good reading list for someone looking for a horror reading list). If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the list, you'll find my suggestion, all by its little ol' self. This book gave me nightmares when I was ten.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea
