So. On to the good stuff.
I recently won a copy of Craig Johnson's newest installment of the Longmire Mysteries from GoodReads First Reads: Dry Bones.
It's gonna be a couple weeks before I get around to reading Dry Bones because I have to prepare by reading the rest of the series. Yup, this is one of those rare occasions when I saw the show before exposing myself to the books. I have a good reason why: LDP.
For those of you not familiar with his Food Network appearances, that's Lou Diamond Phillips (swoon).

Henry Standing Bear
I watched the first episode to see if Longmire was my kind of "thing." I kept watching because the cast is a veritable list of hotties solving crimes modern-cowboy style.
Sheriff Walt Longmire
Where are the soap fans? Santa Barbara, General Hospital, Port Charles, One Life to Live, The Bold and the Beautiful...
And, I was even surprised when Michael Spears did a guest appearance in Season 1, Episode 9 (Dogs, Horses and Indians).
This is in no way related to the show but it makes me giggle.

And I like his brother, Eddie Spears, too (Eddie, where's my autographed dreamtastic glamour photo?). I file my fantasy of the Spears men under Things Bibliophiles do with Bookends.
Doesn't even appear in Longmire
but geez, look at him
[Like LDP, I only slightly stalk the Spears men. I don't actually own a dreamtastic glamour photo of Michael Spears - thanks to their fansite for the borrowed images.]
And, well, okay. I have to admit, you lesbians and straight dudes are slightly screwed in the hottie department.
But, anyway, that's what I'm doing right now - reading the Longmire Mysteries by Craig Johnson. Reviews to follow soon.
