Last night, the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada lit up yellow for Endometriosis Awareness. Whoever made that happen, thank you.
I cried when I saw the photo at the top of this page. I'm crying as I try to compose this post. I am one of the women living with Endometriosis and I know what it feels like to be ignored.
Why did the tower light up? Because today is the Million Women Endomarch 2014.
Thank you to everyone involved in this project. To all the women marching today - I love you. Thank you for putting a face to this disease when I can't.
I'm unable to attend. Mostly because I'm due to start my period today and in pain (combined with phantom pain from that time before my surgery in 2004, which makes me ruminate, which makes me a swollen eyed, tear-sopping mess). I work almost every Saturday so I can take three days off when my menstrual period comes. That is life with Endometriosis.
That is why I'm also sharing this video.
